Community

Many residents and all of city council have expressed their desire for a ‘town square.’

While the development on the west side does not offer an ideal space for that, the city offers events throughout the year to bring the community together.

Over the summer, there are concerts in the park, party in the park, food truck frenzy, summer splash, and a drive in movie.

This past weekend was fall fest where residents could gather around a bonfire, eat some barbeque, cook smores over the fire, and listen to great music. On Saturday, many residents came to Village Square to trunk or treat. There were a lot of activities for kids plus busineses had the opportunity to engage with residents.

Over the winter, there are more opportunities to build community with movie nights, carriage rides, and a tree lighting.

The developer in the canyons is working on designs for a ‘city center’ that would create a space for the community to come together.  No firm timeline yet but the process is moving.

What I believe and what I support as an incumbent council woman-

  1. Grow thoughtfully

  2. Budget wisely

  3. Be a good neighbor
