Support Law Enforcement

Did you know Colorado ranks fourth-worst nationally for recidivism overall, but rates vary by offense type: property crimes have higher recidivism (up to 78% nationally), while violent crimes are lower.
Castle Pines contracts with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) to provide comprehensive law enforcement services and a dedicated Traffic Unit and broader patrol efforts, which have contributed to reducing speeding and greater safety around school zones.
Recent examples of DCSO's active role in Castle Pines include responding to burglaries on October 3, 2025 (using K9 units and drones for searches) and arresting a suspect in a September 2025 theft at a local massage business, aided by community tips via Metro Denver Crime Stoppers.
I fully support our law enforcement and Sheriff Weekly’s approach of sending a strong message to potential criminals that Castle Pines and Douglas County are not areas to commit crimes as they will be caught and they will face the full extent of the law.
